KAHORI

The pieces

Each piece is bought one at a time in Japan. Once it finds you, there is no second one.

A kimono, only once

Every KAHORI piece is an authentic Japanese kimono, chosen one by one in Japan. Each was worn, folded and kept — sometimes across two generations — before it came this far. None of them has a twin.

They are checked by hand, measured to the centimetre, and photographed as they are. Where a piece carries a mark or a trace of yellowing, it is shown and described, never hidden: that is the mark of time, and it is exactly what separates an old garment from a new one.

They ship from France, which means no customs to pay and no waiting several weeks. And when a piece speaks to you without quite fitting, it can be reworked — that is where the upcycling begins.
